② Large mouth. Glass bottles with an inner diameter between 20–30mm, relatively short and thick in shape, such as milk bottles.
③ Wide mouth. Also known as canning jars, these have a bottle mouth inner diameter greater than 30mm, with short neck and shoulder, and a relatively flat shoulder. Often in can or cup shapes. Some countries are developing new surface reinforcement technologies for bottles and jars, attempting to further reduce their weight. For example, Germany's Haile Company applies a thin layer of organic resin to the surface of bottle walls and produces 1-liter concentrated juice bottles weighing only 295 grams, which can prevent glass bottles from being scratched and increase the pressure strength of the bottles by 20%. The currently popular plastic film labeling also helps to make glass bottles and jars lighter.

The key to increasing labor productivity in glass bottle manufacturing is how to improve the molding speed of glass bottles. Currently, the common approach in developed countries is to use molding machines with multiple sets and multiple drops of material.
